We provide comprehensive motorcycle dynamometer tuning services. Our state-of-the-art DYNOmite™ dynamometer from Land & Sea, Inc. can accommodate bikes from 3 to 300 horsepower! Our dyno uses an eddy current braking system to allow tuning over a range of operating and performance conditions.

Our DYNOmite™ displays honest horsepower using a strain-gauge torque transducer, under a controlled load – vital for correct injection system mapping or proper carburetor jetting. We can execute step RPM tests and realistic-rate sweeps of the horsepower band. This system allows us to duplicate racing conditions to identify issues often missed during short power bursts.

We can present your dyno data in a wide variety of graphic formats. For maximum analysis, we can even give you the entire run in an excel file!

One great application of our dyno is to break in a new race motor. When the track is covered with ice and snow, we can help you get your bike ready to go from the first track day of the spring.

Grunbay Racing can also tune your programmable ignition system. We are expert at squeezing that last tenth of reliable performance. Two stroke engines are particularly responsive to ignition system tuning. You can see the benefits on the dyno, and feel them at the track. We are experienced in tuning a wide variety of programmable ignitions, with particular experience in IgniTech™ ignition systems.

Our DYNOmite™ system measures your engine’s air/fuel ratio under varying conditions that we can simulate using our eddy current braking system. We can find that “midrange stumble” and fix it!

One case involved a Honda CB350 that was underperforming at the track. On the dyno we noted that the A/F ratio was fluctuating over the rpm range. When we disassembled the carb, we discovered a pinhole in the constant velocity carburetor diaphragm that was only open when the diaphragm was stretched. After fitting new diaphragms, the next dyno chart showed a nice smooth A/F ratio line. Try diagnosing that trackside!
